The Animas-La Plata <br /> <br /> <br />diversion site is located about one mile south of Durango in Section 32, <br /> <br /> <br />Township 35 North, Range 10 West. Inflow in this segment is contributed <br /> <br /> <br />by return flows from the Florida Mesa and about 50 square miles of tributary <br /> <br /> <br />drainage area along the Animas River.
