SDF Values - There are 4 options for defining the source of Stream Depletion Factors (SDFs),
stream depletion factors are a time period for which the water use from a well is likely to result in
a depletion in the South Platte.

. Augmentation Plan Value - This is the value of the SDF specified in the augmentation plan
for the well.

. Based on Decreed Location - Wells have a decreed location that mayor may not correspond
to the physical location of the well. This is the SDF value based on the SDF map for the decreed
location.

. Based on GPS Location - The physical location of some of the wells has been determined
based on Global Positioning Systems (GPS). The SDF value is based on the SDF map for the
location.

. User Defined - This option should be used if the SDF value is changed for modeling and based
on data as described above.

2. Fraction orWell Water Supplied by this Well- This data should correspond to the entire
modeling area. To incorporate multiple wells serving one area a fraction of the water supplied by
each well can be specified. The value entered should be from 0-1.

3. Farm Acres Irrigated by this Well- Since water use can vary over the modeling area the acreage
actually served by the can be specified.

4. Flow Rate Measurement - The units for the flow values can be specified in cubic feet per second
(CFS) or acre-feet (Ac-Ft).

5. Application Efficiency - For each well the Application Efficiency can be expressed as a
percentage, and the days the well is active and the flow can be specified for each year. Notice, only
the application efficiency can be specified by month.

I

I
I

I
I

Version 1.1

II

The Consumptive Use Window
