The final <br /> <br />report was published by the successor agenqy, the Environmental <br /> <br />frotection Agency, in December 1::111, as "The Hineral Quality <br /> <br />'l'he Colorado River Basin States \'lerc Concerned about the trends <br /> <br />f rising salinities presented in this and other reports and urged <br /> <br />he Bureau of Reclamation to develop a program to control salinity. <br /> <br />~n respon~e thereto, the Bureau, using information and data it had <br />i ~ <br />developed over the years in its salanity studies, recommended the <br />i <br />progr:am described in its February 1972 report entitled, "Colorado <br /> <br />River water quality improvement program." <br /> <br />COLOR!\DO RIVER POLLUTION CONFERENCE <br /> <br />The Environmental Protection Agency convened the seventh <br /> <br />session of the Federal-State Conference in the matter of poll~tion <br />of the interstace waters of the Colorado River and its tributa.rics," <br /> <br />. <br />in February and April 1972, ,1ith all seven basin States partici- <br /> <br />pating. Testimony was presented by Federal, State and local officials~ <br />'rhe conferees, official representatives of the seven basin" <br /> <br />States and the Environmental Protection Agency, unanimously adopted <br /> <br />conclusions and recommendations pertainingt~ ~he salinity problems <br />of the Colorado River. ?hese conclusions and recommendations were <br /> <br />, approved in June 1972, by Hr.
