This work has been proceed-
ing for just about a year, and in this time contracts were completed with 16 agencies and
many more are in the final stages of negotiation. In Colorado, the customers that have
completed their 1975-76 contracts ore the cities of Delta, Oak Creek, Center, and Fort
Morgan and Intermountain REA.

GENERAL INVESTIGATIONS

Review comments on the June 1967 proposed feasibility report, Battlement Mesa
Project, have been received from all State and Federal cooperating agencies. The report
on the project received from the Federal Water Pollution Control Administration has been
submitted to the Commissioner, Bureau of Reclamation, for his recommendation as to its
use. Favorable comments were received from the Colorado Water Conservation Board which
incorporated comments of State agencies and the Battlement Water Conservancy District.
Following receipt of the Commissioner's comments, the report will be revised and circulated
to Federal and Stote agencies under the Flood Control Act of 1944.

, All feasibility designs and estimates for project features of the initial phase, or the
Roaij, Creek Unit, of the Bluestone Project have been completed. Plan formulation studies
and reconnaissance cost estimates for Una Reservoir (the second phase of the project) are
also completed, and work has been initiated on the plan formulation appendix to the report.
Data for the second phase will be presented in reconnaissance scope with a recommendation
that construction on this phase be delayed unti I oi I shale or related industries dictate the
need. The land classification and hydrology appendixes have been completed, and the
agricultural economic appendix is nearing completion. Financial and economic analysis
studies and report have been continued, but cannot be completed until work by the cooper-
ating agencies is complete and their reports available. Because of the delay in receiving
these cooperating agency reports, the scheduled date for completion of the proposed feasi-
bil ity report is now October 1968.

On the Grand Mesa Project, plan formulation studies are essentially complete and
the geological investigations, collection of agricultural economic data, and the prepara-
tion of design data are in progress. A rough draft of the water supply portion of the
hydrology appendix is nearly completed and other hydrologic studies are in progress. The
completion of the proposed feasibility report is still scheduled for the end of FY 1970.

Feasibility investigations consisting of plan formulation studies, including possible
power" generation at Taylor Park Reservoir, and the collection of water supply field data
are sti II in progress on the Upper Gunnison Project. The proposed feasibility report is
scheduled for completion in FY 1971.

Completion of the Yellow Jacket Project proposed feasibility report is still awaiting
receipt of reports from some of the other Federal agencies.
