The two year <br />program has been estimated to cost approximately $1,000,000. The FY '74 <br />appropriation was in an amount of $590,000. The FY '74 appropriation <br />will be used to retain consulting firms to assist in the preparation of <br />completed plans for the South Platte River Basin, and the Republican <br />River Basin,' Plans will also be initiated this fiscal year for the Colo- <br />rado River Basin and the Arkansas River Basin. Approximately 40% of <br />the plan development for these latter two basins can be accomplished <br />with this years appropriation. A contract has been negotiated with a <br />consulting firm for the South Platte Plan and proposals are now being <br /> <br />reviewed for consulting services for the Republican River Basin, <br /> <br /> <br />Colorado River Basin and the Arkansas River Basin. <br /> <br />Basin plans for .the Cimarron Basin and North Platte Basin will be <br /> <br />prepared "in-house" and completed by January 1, 1974.
