Employment in Resource-Intensive Industries is Stagnant or Declining <br /> <br />The study area generally exhibits national trends regarding employment in <br />resource-intensive industries. The data in Table 2.2 show that total, <br />private-sector employment in the agricultural industry in 1993 was 14,078, <br />or about two percent of total employment in the study area.
