<br />Dolores project (Reclamation-Department of Agriculture) <br />Advance planning for the salinity control features continued <br />during 1988. Coordination with USDA representatives on the <br /> <br />salinity control features was accomplished. Reclamation's <br />o <br />~ supplemental draft EIS for the project is currently under <br />~ <br />01 review by Reclamation, filing of a final EIS is scheduled for <br /> <br />January 1989. <br /> <br />Lower Gunnison Basin Unit (Reclamation) - The advanced <br /> <br />planning on the winter water portion of this unit continued <br />during the period covered by this report and will be <br /> <br />completed in FY 1989. <br /> <br />Water Quality Improvement Program Units (Reclamation- <br />Department of Agriculture) - The following Water Quality <br />Improvement Program (WQIP) studies were continued in this <br /> <br />repor ting per iod. <br />Uinta Basin (Reclamation-Department of Agriculture) - <br />Coordination between Reclamation and the USDA has continued. <br /> <br />USDA is focusing upon onfarm improvements but has <br /> <br />strengthened coordination in the planning of its canal and <br /> <br />lateral group projects as part of the Central Utah Project <br /> <br />and Reclamation's salinity project. A preliminary Findings <br /> <br />Report, by Reclamation, on Phase II is scheduled for <br /> <br />completion in 1989. <br /> <br />USDA implementation emphasizes the use of salinity <br /> <br />control/water management plans in conjunction with cost <br /> <br />sharing from the ACP and CRSC programs.
