the project and.be made available to the Secretary
of the Interior In accordance with the terms of a
~eneral Plan as provided for In Section 3 of the
Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act (48$tat.40I,
as amended; 16 U.S.C. 661 etseq.).

(8) That of the total amount of water to.be developed
by the project, 5,000 acre-feet per annum beallo-
cated for use on the proposed HishakLakes National
Wildlife ~efuge.

(9) .,Thatthe project provide an estimated 5,300 acre-feet
of water per annum, to supplement that available on
the proposed Alamosa National WildlIfe Refuge area,
to assure a total supply of 14,000 acre-feet per
annum for waterfowl management purposes . and further
that thecollectl~ system be so located as not to
drain proposed refuge lands.

It should be noted that It is recognized that final implementation
of Itecommendatlons Nos. 8 and 9 Is contingent upon approval by the
State of Colorado.

This report is based on data provided by the Bureau of Iteclamatlon
prior to April 14, 1960, and Is subJect to change upon receipt of
additional project Information. Any modifications should be
brought to the attention of the Colorado Department of Game and
FIsh, the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish, and the Bureau
of Sport Fisheries and Wildlife. The cooperation of the Bureau
of ReclamatIon In the preparation of this report Is appreciated.
