<br />San Juan-Chama <br />Water Accounting <br />Albuquerque Area Office <br />November 1996 <br /> <br />The natural inflow into Heron Reservoir during the month of November was computed <br />to be 1620 acre-feet (af) as shown in Table 3. There were -460 af net San Juan- <br />Chama (SJ-C) losses. as shown in Table 2, There were 980 af of diversions <br />through Azotea Tunnel this month. <br /> <br />There was a total of 1580 af of Natural (RG) released from Heron. of which 140 <br />AF was seepage. There was 7576 AF of SJ-C water released from Heron. of which <br />7059 AF was sent to the City of Albuquerque (the City) in Abiquiu as part of <br />their annual allotment. The other 517 AF was sent to the Cochiti Recreation <br />pool. <br /> <br />There was 2.61 inches of precipitation at Heron Reservoir. which is 153% of the <br />November (running) average of 1.71 inches. The monthly computations for Heron <br />Reservoir are summarized in Tables 1-3. <br /> <br />From El Vado. 1966 AF was released by Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District <br />(MRGCD) to pay back the City of Albuquerque (City) in Abiquiu for water borrowed <br />for irrigation. <br /> <br />From Abi qui u. a tota 1 of 1633 AF was released; 1122 AF to the Ci ty' s Jemez <br />Sediment pool and 511 AF to the Cochiti Recreation pool. <br /> <br />Total inflow into Nambe Falls Reservoir was computed to be 519 AF. There was no <br />evaporation loss on the reservoir. Table 4 summarizes San Juan-Chama water at <br />Otowi . <br /> <br />Estimated sediment deposition in the San Juan-Chama pools at Abiquiu and Jemez <br />Canyon Reservoirs. and Cochiti Lake are presented in Tables 5A-5C. Storage and <br />evaporation of Rio Grande water in El Vado and Abiquiu Reservoirs are shown in <br />Table 6. <br /> <br />All data are provisional and subject to revision as final data are collected and <br />analyzed. <br />
