l}~UI~4\\

, f~

Contract Flow-Support Reach Information

July 7, 1993
Page 3

b. Reach Parameters.

(1) Enabled or Not. Each instream flow
reach represented in the model will have a
check-box type control to indicate whether
or not it will be operated during the
contract flow support step. No error-
checking will be performed to assure that
an enabled reservoir is located upstream
from an enabled flow support reach. (The
effect of specifying a contract flow support
reach without an upstream reservoir will be
nil--the same as if an upstream reservoir
were empty or had reached its annual limit
on flow-support releases.)
"
(2) Location. The location of({c;ntract
flow support reach may be specified either
by pointing and clicking to a symbol on the
mapview or by selection from a list.

(3) Amounts. Each enabled flow support
reach will have a user-specified 12 X I
table of amounts in CFS, just like the MSF
rights.

2. Black Canyon Contract Flow Support Reach. The same
physical reach of the Gunnison River through the Black Canyon
which has a predefined MSF right, will have a predefined flow
support contract. (Amounts? Enabled in Baseline Scenario?
Historical Scenario?)

3. Endangered Fish Reach Below Redlands Headgate.
(Amounts? Enabled in Baseline Scenwlo? Historical
Scenario ?)

4. Uncompahgre River Reaches Above and Below Cow Creek.
Ridgway Reservoir's operating criteria include requirements to
make releases from storage, if necessary, to support flows in two
reaches downstream:

a. Ridgway Dam to Cow Creek.
30 CFS: year-round.

b. Cow Creek to M&D Canal.
60 CFS: May,
75 CFS: June-October,
45 CFS: November-April.

,~
~
,
