<br />7-08. Fish and Wildlife.
<br />
<br />a. Fish and wildlife enhancement is an authorized project
<br />purpose. Hanagement of the fish and wildlife resources of the
<br />project is the responsibility of the Colorado Division of Wild-
<br />life. When the planned combination warm-water hatchery and
<br />cold-water rearing unit is constructed below the dam, the hatchery
<br />will provide most of the fingerlings for stocking the reservoirs
<br />and lakes within the Fryingpan - Arkansas Project.
<br />
<br />b. Constraints. None.
<br />
<br />7-09. Water Supply.
<br />
<br />a. The Bureau of Reclamation and the Colorado State
<br />Engineer are responsible for coordination and accounting of the
<br />conservation storage. Municipal, industrial, and irrigation
<br />water will be supplied on demand consistent with water ownership
<br />from conservation storage. The Colorado State Engineer and the
<br />Southeastern Colorado Water Conservancy District are responsible
<br />for delivery of the water after leaving the reservoir. The Pueblo
<br />!Jam and Reservoir also provides "winter water" storage for native
<br />flow during the winter months, November through March, which accumu-
<br />lates to the credit of the canal companies between Pueblo and
<br />John ~~rtin Dams.
<br />
<br />b.. Constraints. Operations must conform with the
<br />"Arkansas River Compact" and the water laws of the State'" of
<br />Colorado.
<br />
<br />7-10. Hydroelectric Power. None.
<br />
<br />7-11. Other. Sediment studies indicate ~~at approximately
<br />103,100 acre-feet of sediment will accumulate in the reservoir
<br />during a 100-year period. Periodic resurvey will be made to
<br />compute the volume and distribution of the sediment. No schedule
<br />exists or is planned for sediment control.
<br />
<br />7-12. Deviation from Normal Flood Control Regulation. There are
<br />occasions when it is necessary or desirable to deviate from the
<br />water control plan for short periods of time. The Part 208.11
<br />Regulations which apply to deviations or modifications are pre-
<br />sented in paragraphs d(9)(vi) tilrough d(9)(viii) of the regulation.
<br />These paragraphs are quoted below for ready reference:

<br />fication by the Corps of Engineers, if found necessary
