Hydrological sequences in the Upper Basin are the <br />greatest single influence on maintaining feasibility of the project. <br /> <br />General Investigations <br /> <br />Review comments on the June 1967 Battlement Mesa Project feasibility <br />report have been received from most State and Federal agencies concerned <br />with the report or development plan. The Federal Water Pollution Control <br />Administration requested time to reanalyze the water quality aspects and <br />to prepare a new report <br /> <br />Feasibility designs and estimates have been completed for Sharrard <br />Park Pumping Plants, Roan Creek Diversion Dam, and Kobe Pumping Plant for <br />the Bluestone Project. Feasibility designs and estimates are in progress <br />for the Mt. Logan Dam and Reservoir, and the project canals, laterals, and <br />drains. Financial and economic analysis studies have been initiated. Work <br />by the cooperating agencies is behind schedule, but it is anticipated the <br />report date of June 1968 for the proposed feasibility report can be met. <br /> <br />On the Grand Mesa Project plan formulation studies, water supply studies, <br />geologic investigations, collection of agricultural economy data, and the <br />preparation of design data are in progress. It is now anticipated that com- <br />pletion of the proposed feasibility report will be delayed until the end of <br />fiscal year 1970. <br /> <br />Feasibility investigations on the Juniper Project will be undertaken <br />later this year with funds contributed by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board, Colorado River Water Conservation District, Juniper Water Conservancy <br />District, and the Great Northern Water Conservancy District. Contract nego- <br />tiations with the State and local interests are currently in progress to <br />effect the transfer of funds to the Bureau. <br /> <br />Feasibility investigations consisting of plan formulation studies, <br />including power generation at Taylor Park Reservoir, and collection of <br />water supply data are in progress on the Upper Gwmison Project. The <br />proposed feasibility report is scheduled for completion in FY 1971. <br /> <br />Completion of the Yellow Jacket Project proposed feasibility report is <br />awaiting receipt of reports from the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation and the <br />Federal Water Pollution Control Administration. <br /> <br />Salinity Control Program <br /> <br />The Bureau of Reclamation is conducting a two-year reconnaissance <br />salinity control investigation of the Upper Colorado River Basin in cooper- <br />ation with the Federal Water Pollution Control Administration.
