published information authored by USGS [Hurr and Schneider, 1972].

SURFACE WATER SYSTEM

The agricultural water supply system in Water District No. 1

co4sists of various-sized diversion canals, reservoirs (which

extend or exchange available supplies), and smaller distribution

ditches and laterals. A schematic diagram of the major components

of'the irrigation system is presented on Figure 3-1. Characteristics

of'the agricultural water supply system are highlighted in

Table 3-1. Reservoir ownership is depicted in Table 3-2.

acre-feet, or approximately 23 acre-feet per right. of the
