<br />During the report period, about lOO'projects were investigating
<br />mineral aildmineral-fuel resources to provide background data for land
<br />developl!l8nt ,and engineering construction. Geologic mapping and related
<br />fie1d studies were aetive during the summer; at year end, most activi-
<br />ties were in 1aboratory and office in connection with the preparation
