S. Johnson. Jr.. Bulletin 1087-B. Uranium deposits of the
sand-stone-type in the Cedar Mountain area are described and the
potential ore-bearing strata are appraised. Ore accumulations
appear to be related to sedimentary features. Possibly large
ore deposits may be found in the Chinle formation. but at depths
of more than 1.000 feet. The Morrison formation, the source
of 90 percent of the uranium ore thus far produced, seems
unlikely to contain deposits over 1,000 tons in size.

"Uranium resources of,the Green River and Henry Mountains district".
by H. S. Johnson, Jr.. Bulletin 10$7~G. The physical-chemical
environment of sedimentation controlled the amount of uranium
deposited in black shales and phosphorites of the Phosphoria
formation. In shale, uranium deposition was favored in an acid
reducing environment; in phosphorites, it was favored in a re-
ducing environment.

"Reconnaissance geologic map of southeastern Cochise County",
by J.
