The stereocompiled manuscripts will <br />shov{ 20-foot. supplemental contours to a height of 400 feet above stream <br />bed, 5-foot water-surface crossings. No separate river map will be <br />published. <br /> <br />Field completion l/{as accomplished on 120 stream miles along the <br />three forks of the Stanislaus River and tributaries, and on the Kern <br />River from Isabella Reservoir to mile 24. ~~ps at the 1:24,000 scale <br />are scheduled for publication in 1960. <br /> <br />A tOpographic strip map of the Navajo River and certain tributaries, <br />Colorado ~nd New Mexico, is in preparation. This map, with large-scale <br />surveys Of four main-stem dam sites is expected to be publiShed late in <br />fiscal 1959. <br /> <br />Mineral Classification.- Completed for administrative use were a <br />geologic map and correlations of test holes in. the South Coal Creek area, <br />Gunnison County, Colorado; and structure-contour maps of oil and gas <br />fields in southeastern Utah, southwestern Colorado, and nortln/{estern <br />Nell{ Mexico. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Oil and Gas Leasing.- At the request of the Office of Alien <br />Property, 6il and gas aopraisals were prepared for three parcels of land <br />in Kern and Ventura Counties, California. A supplemental report ,,{as <br />furnished the Regional Director, Public Housing Administration as to <br />leasing certain lands within the City of Los Angeles. <br /> <br />In San Juan County, Utah, the Aneth gas-gathering system of the <br />El Paso Natural Gas Company has been started and is scheduled for early <br />completion.
