Quad-
rangles in the northwest corner of the state and in an
area about the town of Green River were also compiled.
Maps published were in the vicinities of Cedar City,
st. George, and Monticello. A special control job of about 600 square
miles in the Glen Canyon area was executed with helicopters for the Bureau
of Reclamation on a repay basis.

Authorized
Control
Compila tion -
Published

Authorized 0
Control 0
Compilation - 0
Published 0

Authorized
Control
Compilation -
Published

Authorized 0
Control 0
Compilation - 0
Published 5

NEW MEXI CO

o Control surveys were completed on the Cabezon-Chaco
6 Canyon project, and control operations are now in
o progress on the Thoreau project. Forecasts of April-July runoff are below average
generally and are less than 50 percent of average rather widely. Record
low runoff occurred on the Colorado River near Cisco, Utah, in April and
near Grand Canyon, Arizona, in both March and April; on the San Juan River
near Bluff, Utah, in March and May; on the Salt, Verde, and Gila Rivers
in Arizona. A possible extreme was set by the Little Colorado River near
Cameron, whose runoff was 6 percent of average in March and 5 percent in
April. Storage in major reservoirs commonly was near average, owing to
carry-over; in the San Carlos Reservoir of the Gila River basin, however,

-7-
