It was found <br />necessary to protf'ct the Unit(>(1 Stales from loss of energy at Parker <br />power plant attributablt> to the change in the point of diwrsion of <br />water for the San Diego area. A contract was negotiah,-'d in which <br />the District agreed to pTo\-ide replacemt'nt energy and falling <br />water iiutlicient to kt-'t'Jl whole the power privilege of the United <br />States. This. in turn, required negotiation of a contract with the <br />Southern California Edison Company for replacement energy. All <br />of the contracts involved are contingent upon annexation to the <br />District of the San Diego County Water Authority.
