<br />N <br />CJ1 <br /><::> <br />00 executive director whose major function is to assist in <br /> <br />carrying out the Colorado River salinity program, (7) <br /> <br />allocation of state financial and manpower resources to <br /> <br />several salinity research efforts, (8) providing matching <br />funds to support the USGS water quality data collection <br />program in the Colorado River Basin portion of the state <br />which is necessary to monitor salinity conditions on the <br />river, and (9) maintaining a continuous water quality <br />planning program whereby new or additional salinity control <br />measures can be addressed. <br /> <br />utah <br /> <br />~~~!~_~~E~!~~ - In accordance with the State EPA <br /> <br /> <br />Agreement, the state drafts most municipal permits and all <br /> <br /> <br />minor industrial permits. EPA issued only one utah municipal <br /> <br /> <br />permit in the basin during this reporting period. The town <br /> <br />of Neola is required to monitor the less than 0.5 mgd intake <br /> <br />and discharge for total dissolved solids (TDS) in accordance <br /> <br /> <br />with the Forum policy. Past data have indicated a total TDS <br /> <br /> <br />of less than 700 mg/l; with less than a 400 mg/l incremental <br /> <br />increase. There were four Utah fish hatchery permits issued <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br />in 1985. <br /> <br />Water Quality Management Planning - The. three designated <br /> <br /> <br />planning agencies in the Utah portion of the Basin have <br /> <br /> <br />developed conditionally certified water quality management <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br />plans. <br /> <br />The Wayne County portion of the Six-County <br /> <br />-32- <br />
