Gallery, 147 million gallons per day from the Moffat Plant, and 300 million
'. gallons per day from the expanded Marston Plant for a. total capacity of 497
million gallons per day. The capacity of the Marston Plant assumes opera-
'J
tion of the new addition at a 50 per cent overload ra.te.
5. As recommended, the Board may decide to abandon the Infiltration

-.

Gallery with its capacity of 5 million gallons per day due to the Chatfield

Project. Total plant capacity will drop to 492 million gallons per day if

the Board should so decide. If such should be the case, the Moffat Plant

addition of 60 million gallons per day will be needed by 1976 and the Rox-

borough Plant of 100 million gallons per day by 1982 to meet estimated maxi-

mum day water demands.

6. Construction of the Chatfield Project will affect in some degree

the following Board facilities: Kassler Treatment Plant, Infiltration Gal-

lery, Bean Wells, Plum Creek Pumping Station, Conduit 10, Conduit 20, Conduit

24, Conduit 8 Extension, Platte Canon Reservoir, La.st Chance Ditch Pumping

Station, Platte Canon River flume, City Ditch diversion structure, water

rights, land, and structures at the Kassler Plant. Conduit 10, Plum Creek

Pumping Station, Conduit 24, City Ditch diversion structure, and residential

structures at the Kassler Plant will have to be relocated.

7. The Corps of Engineers has established the maximum pool ele-

vation of Chatfield Reservoir to be 5500. The maximum elevation of any

conservation pool will be 5426.

8. The Corps has proposed a plan protecting or relocating the af-

fected water works facilities to make the Board nwhole" after construction

of the Chatfield Project. Except for the cost of protective works around

Kassler Plant, cost estimates for the Corps plan were prepared by Black &

Veatch. This plan includes:

- 4 -
