amount of the operation and ma.intenance expenses for this term is

$2,510,000 which should be paid the Board.

5. It is recommended that the Bean Wells be abandoned and the

.'

Board be compensated by the value of replacement water based on appropri-

ate cost of the Blue River Project. The estimated cost of $119,000 for

replacing the water lost by abandonment of the wells should be paid the

Board.

6. It is recommended that the Board abandon the Infiltration

Gallery. The Board should be compensated for loss of gallery water in

the amount of $1,212,000. It is expected that the water lost will be

replaced in the future as an incremental part of a larger future develop-

ment. Estimated prices were based on incremental costs of the Blue

River Project.

7. It is recommended that the Board accept the Corps plan for

replacing in kind the Plum Creek Pumping Station and Conduit 24. The

Board should retain its water rights in City Ditch under any circumstances.

8. It is recommended that the Board make a lump sum settlement

with the Corps for facilities lost and cost of operation changes, in

addition to receiving replacement facilities as outlined above. The

Board should receive funds in the following amounts:

Kassler Plant
Infiltration Gallery
Bean Wells
Conduit 20
Conduit 10 0 & M

$ 781,000
1,212,000
119,000
674,000
2,510,000

Total

$5,296,000

- 11 -
