The Bureau
would operate the reservoir consistent with prior water rights
and with water rights obtained for the unit and would make
irrigation releases of unit water in accordance with requests
received from the Lower South Platte Water Conservancy District,
The Bureau would also operate the reservoir to accomplish the
flood control objectives of the Annual Operating Plan. Whenever
the reservoir water surface would be in the allocated flood
control space, the reservoir would be operated for flood control
purposes as directed by the Corps of Engineers.

Irrigation water would be released from the reservoir through
the river outlet works and the Fort Morgan Canal outlet works,
Releases to the South Platte River and the Fort Morgan Canal would
be measured immediately below the outlet works.

The estimated annual personnel requirements and associated
costs for the Bureau's OM&R organization, exclusive of personnel
in the South Platte River Projects Office, are estimated to be
as follows:

Personnel

Cost

1 - Reservoir superintendent - GS-7
Standby superintendent
Wage board maintenance crews
Total

$7,000
500
1,500
$9,000

The estimated OM&R annual equipment requirements and costs
for the Bureau's organization,are:

38
