<br />Thore were approximately 250 separate contracts in force in the
<br />Missouri River Basin during fiscal year 1948, of which 86 were classed
<br />as construction contracts. Summarized information on these construc-
<br />tion contracts is shown in a series of tables later in this report.
<br />The following table shows the total value of the various construction
<br />contracts awarded throughout the fiscal year, as wall as the major
<br />features which were placed under contract.
