<br />, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Monument Creek Dam <br /> <br />Plan of Study <br /> <br />Study Objective <br /> <br />The objective of the study is to conduct feasibility <br /> <br />evaluations and evaluate the engineering feasibility and the cost <br /> <br />of constructing a dam and reservoir at a site on Monument Creek <br /> <br />near the town of Dove Creek in southwestern Colorado. The exact <br /> <br />location of the dam will be determined after the necessary <br /> <br />examination of regional geologic and geotechnical evaluation of <br /> <br />the local area is completed. <br /> <br />Study Area The area under consideration by local interests and <br /> <br />CWCB is specifically the area on Monument Creek located in <br /> <br />Section 34 T41N, R19W, and Section 3 and 4 T40N, R19W. This area <br /> <br />had previous reconnaissance work performed by USBR in 1961. Some <br /> <br />data is presently available for use in this study. <br /> <br />Conduct of the Study <br /> <br />The study shall be performed under the general guidance and <br /> <br />direction of the State of Colorado through the Planning and <br /> <br />Construction Section of the Colorado Water Conservation Board. <br /> <br />The Engineer shall be responsible for completing all work tasks <br /> <br />and for producing the written reports, maps, drill logs, and test <br /> <br />results as required by each task. <br /> <br />217 <br />rime <br /> <br />~? <br />, <br />
