The entire <br />right-of-way, or only a portion of it, nay be occupied by the road. <br />Although the Government "ill only have an easement over the land, it <br />will be the sole owner of the road. <br /> <br />The grantor liay use the area "ithin the right-of-lVay for such purposes <br />as will not interfere liith its use for road purposes. He nay graze <br />the unused portion of the right-of-way. He may cross the road and <br />the rieht-of-liay with stocl, or equipment. lIe r.1ay construct connections <br />to the road so !le can access it with vehicles so long as in so doinro <br />he does not interfere with safe use of the road or do dar"age to it. <br />The grantor can also put improvements on the unused portion of the <br />right-of-way so long as they clo not interfere with the purpose for <br />which the easement was acquired. The grantor may also subordinate the <br />easer,lent granted to the United States ,lith easements for other purposes <br />(e.g. electric transmission, pipeline, etc.) over any unused portion <br />of the road right-of-way." <br /> <br />8 <br />
