<br />1937 <br /> <br />(Sediment control bv potenti~l pro1ect) <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />INITIAL DEVELOPMENT <br /> <br />Pueblo Reservoir <br /> <br />------ <br />-- - - . <br /> <br />The Pueblo Reservoir, which would be conet~cted in the Initial <br />Developoent to 400,000 ~cre-feet cRpacity would control all of ths <br />sedinent passing the st~tion on the Arkansas River at Pueble, or 656 <br />acre-feet yearly. As the benefits accruing to the Initial Developnent <br />are based on a 100-year period, the capacity in the Pueblo Reservoir <br />allotted to sediment was also computed on the basis of that period. <br />The sediment capacity of 65.600 acre-feet for the potential Pueblo <br />Reservoir was determined by multiplying 656 acre~feet, the annual amount <br />which would be retained in the reservoir, by 100 yearB. A new capacity <br />curve waB computed (table 8) for the reservoir to show the capacity <br />remaining at the end of the 10o-year period. This curve is shown on <br />exhibit 4.
