A supplemental irrigation supply of 300.000 aore <br /> <br />feet per annum. whioh oan be made available by oompletion of the Colo- <br /> <br />rado-Big Thompson projeot. is of primary importanoe as an aid to the <br /> <br />stabilization of agrioultural produotion at a level above the present <br /> <br />average and at a level now obtainable in only the most favorable of <br /> <br />water supply years. <br />l1a11y of the analyses for the Deoember. 1941 report were oom- <br />pleted prior to the entranoe of the United States into war and the en- <br />tire report was oompleted before any attempt was made to revise 191J2 <br /> <br />farm produotion goals to meet wartime requir.ements. Data relating to <br /> <br />possible inoreases in agrioultural food orops and food produotswere <br />largely based upon average water supply oonditions and upon the 191J2 <br />produotion goals established in the fall of 1941 by the U. S. D.A. State <br /> <br />Defense Board. <br /> <br />The past several months of war in the Paoifio have neoessi- <br /> <br />tated the revision of produotion goals previously eStablished for <br /> <br />oertain agrioultural oommodities . partiou1arly sugar. <br /> <br />Sinoe wartime :needs are now more definitely !mown and sinoe <br /> <br />the passing of the winter months will permit a more aoourate predio- <br /> <br />tion of water supplies availab Ie for the 191J2 season, it appears <br /> <br />-1- <br />
