The tabulations <br /> <br />thus acquired were arranged according to water dis- <br /> <br />trict. <br /> <br />(2) The stock ponds tabulated in (l) above were then <br /> <br />plotted upon a large scale map of the Arkansas River <br /> <br />Basin. <br /> <br />(3) In certain selected areas decrees of record were <br /> <br />plotted to delineate the relationship between the <br /> <br />location of stock ponds and the location of headgate <br /> <br />structures for the subject decrees. <br /> <br />(4) certain selected areas were studied by various methods <br /> <br />and correlated with weather records to attempt to <br /> <br />determine the effects upon the specific water courses. <br /> <br />(5) Two field trips were made into selected areas to <br /> <br />examine and photograph stock ponds in those areas. <br /> <br />The results of these procedures are described in greater <br /> <br />details by the following. <br /> <br />The distribution of stock ponds, by water district, are <br /> <br />shown in the following tabulation which sets forth the number of <br /> <br />ponds, the total capacity, and the average capacity for each water <br /> <br />district within the Arkansas River Basin: <br /> <br />-2- <br />
