Actions in <br />RAMPs would be <br />implemented to minimize <br />conflicts of recreation use <br />and facility development <br />with natural values. ROS <br />seuings to be re- <br />determined for SRMAs if <br />needed. Patrols are to be <br />conducted and signing is <br />to be installed. <br /> <br />Powderhorn SRMA Unit <br />0-19 (44,767 acre.) <br />managed to enhance <br />natural values and prim- <br />itive recreation opportu- <br />nities in Primitive and <br />Semi-Primitive Non- <br />Motorized ROS settings. <br />Commercial use levels <br />would be established. A <br />private recreation permit <br />system, with use levels, <br />would be initiated if <br />recreation activities result <br />in adverse impacts to <br />natural values. Camping <br />limited to designated sites. <br />Prepare RAMP for the <br />SRMA Conduct patrols. <br /> <br />Designate Slumgullion <br />Slide ACHC (1,270 aerea) <br />and restrictively manage <br />for natural value prot- <br />ection, including scenic <br />resources and water <br />quality, and interpretation <br />of geologic phenomena. <br />No surface disturbance <br />permitted. <br /> <br />Designate the 4,800 acre <br />Lake Fork ACHC and <br />manage for fIshing. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVE E <br />(Preferred <br />Alternative) <br /> <br />Cochelopa Canyon 5RMA <br />would be managed to <br />continue to provide and <br />improve the existing <br />diversity of recreation <br />opportunities emphasizing <br />fl&hing and ovemigbt <br />camping in a Roaded <br />Natural ROS setting. A <br />CRMAP would be pre- <br />pared, <br /> <br />Alpine Triangle SRMA <br />would be managed Cor I <br />variety of ROS settIngs <br />and opportunities, in- <br />cluding interpretation, <br />historic. scenic, Ind <br />natural values, and hiking. <br />sightieeing. motorized <br />recreation, camping, <br />winter recreation, hunting. <br />fishing and noatboating. <br />A CRMAP would be pre- <br />pared for this SRMA A <br />joint BLM/FS visitor <br />center in Lake City would <br />be pursued. Facilities at <br />Red Bridge and The Gate <br />campgrounds would be <br />upgraded and Cees <br />charged, <br /> <br />Powderhorn Primitive <br />Area SRMA would be <br />managed for enhancement <br />of natural values and <br />primitive recreation <br />opportunities in Primitive <br />and Semi-Primitive ROS <br />settings. Commercial <br />recreation permitting <br />would continue, and use <br />levels established if neces- <br />sary.
