Leo.kr,ge will be negligible <br /> <br /> <br />since the ground wnter is tributary to the streo.m. <br /> <br /> <br />Bedrock at the dam site is the Trinidnd sandstone. Over- <br /> <br /> <br />burden alluviuJ:1 and gravels vary from 20 feet in depth on the north <br /> <br /> <br />end next to the road, to lO feet at the river on the south. Terrace <br /> <br /> <br />gravels are deposited at the south nbutment 60 feet nbove the river <br /> <br /> <br />and extend up and down the riVer with depths vClrying from 20 to 40 feet. <br /> <br /> <br />Above the VerlilQjo formations, cOlll-lx;arinc; rocks of fresh <br /> <br /> <br />vrnt,er oriGin lie' unconformbly with a ttLi.ckness of 100 feet. <br /> <br /> <br />Seven diamond drill holes were bor"d for the determination <br /> <br /> <br />of foundation conditions at the site.
