<br />O~.1838 <br />. <br /> <br />Rights of Way. <br /> <br />Mineral (coal) rights exist throughout the area. Standard <br /> <br />gage tracks of the C. & VI. R.R., D. & R. G. W. R.R., and C. & S. R.R. <br /> <br />are within the reservoir including two steel single span through <br /> <br />truss bridges and one deck timber bridge. <br /> <br />A 22,000 volt power transmission line of the Trinidad <br /> <br />Electric Company and telephone and telegraph lines traverse the <br /> <br />valley. <br /> <br />Regulating reservoirs for the Trinidad municipal water <br /> <br />supply are located 2~ miles above the dam site above the 6300 <br /> <br />contour, and receive water from North Lake "bout 30 miles distant. <br /> <br />Two wocdstave supply pipe lines have been constructed from the <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />reservoirs along either side of the valley, being 20" diameter <br /> <br />on the north, and 24" diameter at the south side. Some replace- <br /> <br />ments of these lines are being made with l611 and 24" cast iron <br /> <br />pipe respectively. At the dam site the 20" conduit is adjRcent <br /> <br />to the highway on the north and at the south abutment the 24" <br /> <br />pipe is on the bench at Rbout elevation 6235. <br /> <br />The American Smelting and Refining Company has extensive <br /> <br />lwldings in Reilly Canye.n "It Cckedale which is served by the <br /> <br />D. & R. G. R.R. via the C. & VI. n.R. Mining cperations cf this <br /> <br />company are far above the reservoir, although their coking plant <br /> <br />is lower down with unused ovens at about elevaticn 6270. Their <br /> <br />50 hp. 2-stage water supply pllinping unit is located on the svuth <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />side of the river near the junction of the C. & W. and D. & R. G.
