Major high density corridors <br />east, west and south from the CBD shall be encouraged. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Several major activity centers shall be encouraged in the <br />Metropolitan Area. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />New, low density, residential growth should be encouraged only <br />in locations contiguous to existing urban ,areas while recognizing <br />local ecological, environmental,:," social concerns as they might <br />affect the location of a specific development. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />New industrial development should be encouraged only insofar as <br />suitable locations could be found where environmental hazard <br />potential can be effectively controlled or minimized. Major new <br />employment concentrations of any type should be closely analyzed <br />as to their total regional and state impact, which analysis should <br />carefully consider the adverse costs, such as peak hour travel, <br />work trips, and public service costs. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />Major unique urban areas presently within the Denver SMSA will <br />be encouraged to remain unique; that is, not to ultimately be <br />allowed to expand and run together into a nondescript, low <br />density urban sprawl. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />Major areas of ecological, environmental, agricultural, <br />and archeological significance shall remain in a natural <br />low density non-urban condition. <br /> <br />historic <br />open or <br /> <br />rae <br /> <br />-7- <br /> <br />-~...-,- -..~~~--' -'.;;:'''':.: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />~~~!Y_!~~1I$~~~fJ~1~1;;t~~~1t~~~~..J~f~ <br />
