.

so that a second set of results is obtained. Typically, beginning water
years are indexed at 5-year intervals so that 15 sequences or sets of results
are obtained. However, in this study, each and every year was indexed so
that 75 sequences are obtained.

Depletion Schedule

Utilizing input from the Upper Basin States, the Burec estimates the most
likely development of future water projects in the Upper Basin. These
estimates were revised in August 1982. The revision mostly involved the five
projects in Colorado and Wyoming which were classified inactive and their
on-line date was scheduled for the year 2040. A complete tabulation of
consumptive use by project as provided by BuRec is attached as Appendix B.

Minimum Release Schedule

In compliance with the Operating Criteria, Glen Canyon Dam must annually
release a minimum of 8,230,000 ac-ft. A monthly schedule of releases is
supplied to the model to satisfy that condition. The monthly schedule is
designed to approximate the pattern of the system firm power load.

Glen Canyon Monthly Re 1 ease Schedule (1000 Ac-Ft)
Month Release Month Release
- -
Oct 568 Apr 578
Nov 560 May 551
Dec 856 Jun 585
Jan 889 Ju1 1045
Feb 527 Aug 1012
Mar 510 Sep 609
Starting Conditions

Reservoir conditions at the beginning of the study were set equal to actual
reservoir conditions at the end of water year 1982.
