<br />Conservation District <br /> <br />The Conservation District (CD), as a'member of the Local Salinity <br />Control Committee (LSCC), is given the responsibility for setting <br />priorities, identifying the type of practices needed for conservation of <br />the resource base and salinity control, as well as approving individual <br />salinity control plans (SCP's). <br /> <br />State of Wyoming <br /> <br />The State of Wyoming has played a major role in the plan formulation and <br />will continue to have a major role in coordination of efforts to realize <br />the implementation of the selected plan. The State has responsibility <br />for guiding the salinity control activities to assure the desires and <br />objectives of the State are realized, that State laws are followed, that <br />the wishes of its citizens are met, and that the State's rights are <br />protected. Agencies that have been involved in the plan formulation or <br />will become involved in implementation of the project include: <br /> <br />1 - Governor's Office - State Planning Coordinator <br />2 - Wyoming State Engineer's Office <br />3 - Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality - Water Quality <br />Division <br />4 - Wyoming Game and Fish Department <br />5 - Wyoming Water Development Commission <br />6 - Wyoming State Farm Loan Board <br />7 - Wyoming Economic Development and Stabilization Board <br />8 - University of Wyoming <br /> <br />Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Forum and Advisory Council <br /> <br />Coordination and review of this project will also continue with the <br />CRBSC Forum, its Work Group, and Advisory Council. The representatives <br />of this seven-state Colorado River drainage multidiscipline organization <br />provides valuable basinwide guidance. coordination, and support for all <br />salinity control activities in the basin. The USDA and other <br />coordinating agencies involved in the Big Sandy River salinity control <br />project will continue to keep the Forum apprised of the status and will <br />look for support from the Forum to secure adequate funding for <br />implementation of this project. <br /> <br />Planned Coordination <br /> <br />With the roles and responsibilities of the several agencies <br />participating in this project, it is necessary that activities be <br />coordinated.
