The present site for the existing tank and
booster station is 1.7 acres (290' x 255.31') and is not large enough to con~
tain a new tank. Approximately 1. 0 acres of additional land will be required
(290' x 150') to accommodate anew tank and the accessory piping and valves.

L'
L
L
U
t
L
Ii

The existing tank site is protected with a farm style fence and this type fence
does not offer adequate security to the tank/booster station site. It is recom.,
mended that when the City proceeds with the new storage tank, that the existi~g
property plus the 1. 0 acre of additional required land be protected by a new
6 foot chain~link fence with three (3) top strands of barbed wire.

Cost estimates for both a 3 MG and 5 MG steel and concrete tanks are pre-
sented for coniparison of both volume and cost difference between the two
materials.

It is recommellded that the City give consideration to a 5 MG facility at this
time.

The needs of the high level area can still be handled comfortably with the
existing 3 MG steel tank, however, as this area continues to grow, high cap-
acity pumps will be required in the booster station.

'--

U
I
'--'

L:
L

,
'--'

L

,
. ... -:.L

-,' ,--

i:'_

" :
,
~~
"
I
-,:;,1

l
j,;,' };.:;
~i,' l&~~
