<br />".'e~7 <br />'J .J: _ .. <br /> <br />Alternative F <br /> <br />This altemative was developed in response to the idea that the Forest should be <br />managed for the maximum use of natural resources on a sustained-yield basis. <br />Alternative F seeks to produce the highest output levels of commodity resources among <br />alternatives, and will consider management activities in all areas of the Forest that are <br />legally and technologically available for resource production. <br />Theme. The emphasis in Alternative F is on resource production activitIes, such as <br />timber harvesting and domestic livestock grazing, while continuing to provide a range of <br />recreational activities. In areas that are intensively managed fOf resource production, <br />minimum population viability fOf wildlife species will be an ecological constraint. In other <br />areas, natural processes will be allowed to dominate the landscape. <br />Dispersed and developed recreation opportunities will be at current levels or higher. <br />Roaded recreation opportunities will expand.
