<br />000610 <br /> <br />YELLOWSTONE SUBBASIN <br />CO~REHENSIVE PLANNING AND SUPPORT ACTIVITIES <br /> <br />state <br /> <br />State comprehensive plans for the management of the water and related land <br />resources in this subbasin should be updated and completed using the data and <br />information from the recent Yellowstone Level B Study and relevant data from <br />State and regional studies. <br />Interstate <br />Coordination and implementation of regional water and related land <br />resource plans along the interstate streams in this subbasin require the <br />support and financial assistance of each state. <br /> <br />FLOODING <br /> <br />Urban and Built-Up <br />Spring runoff causes urban flooding at many locations with some of the <br />more severe problems at Billings and Miles City on the Yellowstone River and <br />tributaries. <br /> <br />Rural <br /> <br />Rural flooding during the spring is cornmon throughout this subbasin. <br /> <br /> <br />Flood plain use and development without suitable protection continues <br /> <br /> <br />throughout the subbasin. <br /> <br />FISH AND WILDLIFE <br /> <br />Fisheries Habitat <br />Fish passage facilities are needed at the Intake ,diversion along the <br />Yellowstone River. <br /> <br />H-7 <br />
