To evolve the state preference future, the Group A <br />participants from the Missouri River Basin states will determine and document <br />each state's objectives, desires and goals along with projections of socio- <br />economic conditions including the associated water and land use for the <br /> <br />years 1985 and 2000 by ASA or state portion of each ASA. The assumptions <br />or methodologies different from those of the modified central case will be <br />documented. Upon receipt of this state information the staff will synthesize <br />the data, summarize it for each aggregated subarea (as defined by the ,later <br />Resources Council) and compare it to the results furnished by the Water <br /> <br />Resources Council describing the modified central case. The modified central <br /> <br />case is the level of development allocated to each region from a federal <br /> <br />viewpoint, determined during the national analysis portion of the assessment. <br />Figure 5, \~il1 be used to display the comparison betv/een the modified central <br />case and the state preference future. <br /> <br />Subactivity 7 - Develop the Regional Preference Future <br />To evolve the regional preference future the results of the nationwide <br />analysis (modified central case) and the state preference future will be <br />reviewed and analyzed by the Group A participants. These participants <br />in cooperation with the MRBC staff will utilize such data and information <br />to document the state/regional viewpoint and to display the extent of <br />agreement or disagreement with information contained in (1) the modified <br />central case set of projections, (2) the modified central case assumptions <br /> <br />and methodologies, (3) the adequacy analysis, and (4) the effects <br /> <br />information as shown in Figure 5. <br /> <br />Subactivity 8 - Obtain Regionwide Review of the Reqional Preference Future <br /> <br /> <br />The necessary information will be provided to the Group B participants <br /> <br />for a regionwide review of and comment on the regional preference future <br /> <br />-8- <br />
