There were 254 interruptions of service to Phoenix, <br />220 of which were due to disturbances on the Phoenix system. The <br />delivery of power to Phoenix was temporarily discontinued April <br />14, 1941, and had not been resumed at the end of the fiscal year. <br />Heavy rainfall on the Salt River watershed has provided the Salt <br />River Valley Water Users' Association with ample water for the <br />operation of its own hydroelectric pi ants. <br />Various schedules of continuous and alternate operation of plants <br />were followed to determine the most efficient plan and minimum <br />personnel required to meet the limited water requirements of the <br />near future in the coastal basin. For a period of ten weeks a plan <br />of alternate operation of pumping plants was tried. Intake and <br />Gene were operated alternately by the same crew, taking advan- <br />tage of the storage in Gene reservoir between the two lifts.
