.

.

.

.15$7

If water is sold to entities downstream, the outflow from the reservoir will
be adjusted to the situation at the time of delivery and will be included in
the overall operation.

Table 10 and exhibit 17 show the anticipated operation of Ruedi Reservoir
during water year 1985,

C. West Slope Collection System

~

In water year 1985, all 16 diversions in the West Slope collection
system will be in operation. The exchange of up to 3,000 acre-feet of water
into the Roaring Fork River with the Twin Lakes Reservoir and Canal Company
system will be made again this year. Under the terms of the exchange the
water is to be furnished to the Canal Company at Twin Lakes. This exchange
will be done through and by means of project diversions and storage in
exchange for the Canal Company making equivalent releases from the head-
waters of the Roaring Fork River. The Canal Company's releases would other-
wise be diverted through their collection and diversion system. The
exchange will be operated according to the agreement with the Twin Lakes
Reservoir and Canal Company (appendix B).

D. Turquoise Lake

Inflow to Turquoise Lake for water year 1985 will be from four
sources: Busk-I van hoe imports, Fryingpan-Ark ansas Project imports.
Homestake Project imports, and native flow of Lake Fork. Estimates of
inflow from Busk-Ivanhoe and native Lake Fork were made using historical,
records and probability analysis. Project water imports are estimated to be
69,200 acre-feet.

The minimum release into Lake Fork is 15 ft3/s, or natural inflow, whichever
is less.

The planned operation of Turquoise Lake for water year 1985 will be to draw
the reservoir down to allow storage of project imports, Busk-Ivanhoe
imports, and Homestake Project imports. Release from Turquoise Lake will be
made into Mt. Elbert Conduit at a rate to fill Twin Lakes and then in late
January through April to evacuate the remaining water necessary to allow the
imported water to be stored.

The Homestake Project water wi 11 be imported to fi 11 their contracted
storage space during the summer months.

17
