We have reviewed the 1999 Annual <br />Report of the Colorado River Basin Salinity Control (CRBSC) Advisory Council, and have the <br />following comments on the section pertaining to the Bweau of Land Management (BLM). The <br />comments are listed by topic. <br /> <br />Personnel ChanQes <br /> <br />!'f, -., .' <br />:;I~ I " ., : <br /> <br />We agree \.1,ith the COW1cilthal while personnel changes can be disruptive, they may also provide <br />an opportunity for improved coordination and communication. We encourage the Council to <br />continue to engage new BLM personnel in a dialogue concerning Colorado River system water <br />qualit), matters, and to continue v.ith the excellent working relationships that the Basin States <br />have developed "ith the BLM over the years. <br /> <br />Trackin2: Funds and Reoortinl! Accomplishments <br /> <br />The DeW system for tracking salinity funds has ~~n op~rative for less than one year. We v.ill <br />attempt to provide the Council ",ith a status repoft'from'lh3t system at the end of the current <br />fiscal year. We will also continue to provide the Council v..ith a detailed tabular report of salinity <br />accomplishments by individual projects, including the relationship to identified priority <br />watersheds. 1l1.is report v..ilI also contain summary tables and graphs. <br /> <br />It-I <br />
