-- A. South Canal Laterals

There are seven existing laterals under the South Canal, AB, AC, Al.5,
AH, AG, AM and Cedar Creek Lateral, which would be piped with either concrete
or PVC pipe, The capacities range from 70 to 2 cubic feet/second and the total
'length will be 60 miles. This includes a combination of AM lateral that will
result in a 3 mile reduction in length for AM Lateral,

Several changes will be made to the alignments which will result in
~reduction of length of laterals as well as more efficient water delivery, For
example, the map on page (not vet complete) shows the proposed alignments for
some of the laterals, AM lateral will be modified to take out of the South
Canal in 5 different locations and use small pipes to make the deliveries now
carried' by AM Lateral, This re-alignment will result in the reduction of 3
miles of lateral as well as provide the water users with additional head by
ta\,ing Water directly out of the South Canal. AMA will be relocated as shown
on this map.
