The basin watershed in- <br /> <br />eludes several mountain peaks with altitudes in excess of <br /> <br />14,000 feet. <br />The basin is 69.4% public land and 30.6% private <br />land. A large portion of tLe land area is ei tre r high ele- <br /> <br />vation mountainous watershed, or low elevation near desert <br /> <br />type watershed. The status of public and private land o~m- <br /> <br />ership has rerr,ained aln.ost static for the past twenty years. <br /> <br />An increase in irrigation involving the use of private land <br /> <br />and an increase in recreativn developn.ent prirHarilu involving <br /> <br />the use of public land is anticipated.
