eludes several mountain peaks with altitudes in excess of

14,000 feet.
The basin is 69.4% public land and 30.6% private
land. A large portion of tLe land area is ei tre r high ele-

vation mountainous watershed, or low elevation near desert

type watershed. The status of public and private land o~m-

ership has rerr,ained aln.ost static for the past twenty years.

An increase in irrigation involving the use of private land

and an increase in recreativn developn.ent prirHarilu involving

the use of public land is anticipated. A surr.n,ary of the
