Scope and Purpose
This report presents inforlliation on watershed runoff
and stream depletion for the n.ain sten. Colorado River Basin in
Colorado. The inforn,ation was cen.piled fn n. independent recon-
naissance field study, river basin study cooperative ;vork with
the Departn;ent of Agriculture under the leadership of the Soil
Conservation Service and fron. analysis of the wc:rk of otIler
Federal and State agencies engaged in water and related re-
source planning and developfr.ent work. A report on the results'
of the river basin study cooperative w0rk with the Departn,ent
of Agr:Lculture entitled "Water and Related Land Resources _
The Colorado River Basin in Colorado" \'Ias issued under date
of Kay 24, 1965. In order to have information on the entire
watershed area tributary to the Colorado River in the State
of Colorado, inforn.ation on the drainage basins of the Little
Dolores River and Coates Creek is included.
The purpose of the study and report at this tin,e is
the pre;>entation of bssic wat,er supply data and an analysis
