The Federal agencies and the State already have studies of varying intensity

under way on portions of the third phase of the program.

A reconnaissance report on the Colorado State Water Plan is scheduled to be

completed in fiscal year 1974.

PHASE I

Biblio~raphy and Inventory of Available Data

An important early phase of the study is .the assembly of .a~k-a~a!l~le data

pertinent to the determination of the potential development of the State's

resources and water requirements to meet the needs of the potential develop-

ments. Through this compilation, it will be possible to utilize existing,

pertinent studies already. accomplished by either State; Federal, educational,

local, or private interests, and thereby, avoid duplication of effort:

I.
I.

'I ' ' d
S:c..1 ,;n~rl ~....rl;.~c' etr,c/ kt!./_..>r br,~, -
The documentation of available data will be ,,~ ~""'f"C~si"" os P'I~~ih]....

Errors in decisions of what to include or exclude and inadvertent omissions

are likely to occur. However, the inventory will be expected to provide

source data that may be used as a starting point.

:,.:'
/
';j.

.,

~~~o
3
