Vice- <br /> <br />president Millard Huey, Fort Morgan, of the Lower South Platte Water <br /> <br />Conservancy District said today that an overflow crowd is expected. <br /> <br />"Abouttw%ty-five organizations and individuals are expected <br /> <br />to solidly endorse the $62 million project", Huey stated, "in test i- <br /> <br />mony to be presented before the Sub-committee on Irrigation and Re- <br /> <br />clamation. Indications are. that dozens of letters, statements and <br /> <br />resolutions favoring the damhav~ already been prepared for pre~enta- <br /> <br />tion to the committee. We have been working hard for this project <br /> <br />and don't intend to let the interest die as it did in the 1950's. <br /> <br />We'll keep plugging until the dirt .flies.". <br /> <br />Don Hamil, of Sterling, District president, reports that the <br />. . . <br /> <br />project is strongly favored by most people in the District.
