<br />. <br /> <br />001 (K1 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />Association, and Salt River Project, recently decided to study the <br /> <br />addition of a unit in the existing Hayden Plant and to propose a 2-unit <br /> <br />plant near Craig, Colorado. Total capacity of the three units is to be <br />1,350 row. Modifications in the transmission system to carry the power <br />to load centers are being planned and arrangements have been made to <br /> <br />have the Bureau's Denver office perform a portion of the power studies. <br /> <br />The Bureau of Reclamation plans to participate in the project by <br />constructing some segments of this transmission system, <br /> <br />KaiDarowits <br />A contract for 102,000 acre-feet of water annually from Lake Powell <br /> <br />was made on October 2, 1970, among the United States, Resources Company, <br /> <br />and others. The water is to be used for cooling a coal-fired steam <br /> <br />electric powerplant.
