Plans are also being considered that would <br /> <br />allow for raising Fontenelle Reservoir 8t to 28t as alternative regulating storage to <br /> <br />Kendall, New Fork, or lower Green sites. Completion of the reconnaissance report <br /> <br />is scheduled for June 1971. <br /> <br />A meeting was held on February 17 with representatives of cooperating agencies <br /> <br />to discuss the Bureau's reconnaissance activities and plans with respect to the Pari a - <br /> <br />San Rafael investigations. The agencies were asked to respond with comments within <br /> <br />30 days. The reconnaissance report is scheduled to be completed in June 1972. <br /> <br />Reconnaissance investigations have been initiated on the Uncompahgre Project <br /> <br />Improvement and Extension. The studies are directed toward developing a plan to: <br /> <br />Provide salinity control measures for the Colorado River; extend the irrigation service <br /> <br />area; and provide for multipurpose use of project facilities for recreation, fish and <br /> <br />wildlife, flood control, power generation, and municipal and industrial water for the <br /> <br />Grand Junction area. <br /> <br />
