Average annual operation and maintenance costs will <br /> <br />be $36,000. <br /> <br />Total estimated average annual benefits amount to $1,996,000 <br />"'--........~ <br /> <br />based on an economic life of 75 years. The benefit-to-cost ratio is <br /> <br />1.3 to 1. An irrigation repayment contract between U.S. Bureau of <br /> <br />Reclamation and the Purgatoire River Conservancy District amounts to <br /> <br />$6,435,600, which may extend over a period not to exceed 75 years in- <br /> <br />eluding a 5-year development period. The Conservancy District is <br /> <br />required to bear part of the annual joint-use operation, maintenance <br /> <br />and replacement costs while the city of Trinidad is responsible for <br /> <br />maintaining the channel of the Purgatoire River through the city. <br /> <br />N. Prolect Status. Land acquisition, the county road, Jansen <br /> <br />Reservoir, site preparation, cemetery relocation, and the outlet <br /> <br />works have been completed. As of 28 February 1974, work on about 61 <br /> <br />percent of the overall project had been completed. Approximately 45 <br /> <br />percent of embankment work is complete. The embankment is currently <br /> <br />scheduled to be completed early in 1977, and the reservoir can begin <br /> <br />filling at that time.
