<br />o <br />L'" <br />C\I <br />o <br />~:; <br /> <br />SUMMARY SHEETS (Continued) <br /> <br />.-, <br />-' <br /> <br />COST EFFECTIVENESS COMPARISON WITH OTHER <br />SALINITY CONTROL UNITS <br /> <br />Cost effectiveness is being used by Reclamation to determine which <br />salinity control units or components of units have the greatest potential <br />for salilnity concentration reduction for the least money expended. An <br />arrayal of the cost effectiveness and salinity concentration reduction at <br />Imperial Dam provides a basis for comparison of the effects of the <br />various units or their components. Units which have been completed or <br />are nearing completion are used as a base for comparison with units under <br />study. Only units studied at feasibility level are arrayed with the <br />base in order to maintain comparability among units. <br /> <br />At present, only Stage One of the Grand Valley Unit can be used as a base <br />for comparison with units being studied at feasibility level such as <br />Stage Two and the Lower Gunnison Basin Unit. The cost effectiveness of <br />Stage One and Stage Two is compared in the table on the following page <br />with the Lower Gunnison Basin Unit. <br /> <br />3 <br />
